Emerson Power Transmission Donates to College of Business

Randy Norwood, Plant Manager at Emerson Power Transmission presents a $5,000 donation to Dr. Robert Albert, Dean of the College of Business.  Plans are to use the funds to help establish a support/study area for business students in the Bert T. Combs classroom building. Donation Fall 2008

MMRE Professor Publishes article in OBHDP Journal

Morehead State University’s Dr. Ahmad Hassan, assistant professor of management in the Department of Management, Marketing and Real Estate, recently had an article published in a leading management journal.

Dr. Hassan’s article is titled “When Learning Is Not Enough: A Process Model of Expatriate Adjustment as Cultural Cognitive Dissonance Reduction.” The article was published in the Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes Journal.

Drs. Wymer and Williams commercialize computer software

Morehead State University’s Dr. Scott Wymer, assistant professor of computer information systems, and Dr. L.K. Williams, professor of accounting, have commercialized two Web-based computer software products designed to track faculty and student activities.  (Link)


West Liberty SBDC to offer eBay workshop Oct. 22

Morehead State University at West Liberty’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will host a workshop in October for those interested in learning more about eBay.  (Link)


Keane, Inc. Information Session

 

Keane, Inc. will be on-campus October 20, 2008 to tell potential employees about their company and job opportunities.  Students in your department are invited to attend this information session.  The information sesson is at 4:30 p.m. and will last until approximately 6 p.m. in room 211 of Allie Young Hall.  Student's who use Job-Link are encouraged to login and RSVP their participation.  Walk-ins are welcome also;  no advance registration is required.
